Atlantic City Police Department (277 sworn officers) recently received an anonymous tip from a citizen through tip411 that prompted an investigation.

This tip provided information about a man who allegedly put a firearm in the back of an apartment building. Atlantic City PD later found the firearm hidden in an accessible crawl space at the apartment.
The investigation was led by Officer Joseph Kelly Jr. and Sgt. Garry Stowe, utilized the tip from tip411 to arrest and press charges on a repeat offender.
The charges include unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, and certain person not to possess a weapon.
The Atlantic City Police Department mobile app is available to download for free from the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. Citizens can also submit an anonymous text tip via their cell phone by texting the keyword “ACPD” and their message/tip to 847411.
